About us
Ler em portuguêsWe help owners find someone to walk their dog, close to home
dogwalking.pt is a Portuguese website that puts dog owners in touch with independent dog walkers, and gives both the tools to book, follow every walk and trust each other.
- Every walker is approved before they appear
- A GPS route and a report for every walk
- Free for owners
Why we exist
A dog needs a routine
Walks every day, at the same time, even when the working day is long.
Trust is not a guess
Handing your dog and your keys to someone takes more than an ad: a profile approved by our team, real reviews and a report after every walk.
Good walkers deserve clients
People who work for themselves need to be found, and simple tools for their calendar, clients and payments.
Our role
We put people in touch. The service is the walker's.
What we do
- We review every application before the profile goes live. For the identity badge, we see a video introduction and an ID document from each walker.
- We provide the tools: search by area, booking, messages, a GPS route and a report with photos.
- We show prices and reviews as they are, and explain how we order the list.
- We help when something goes wrong.
What we do not do
- We do not provide the walks, visits or stays: the walker you choose does.
- We do not employ the walkers or set their prices.
- We do not take payment for the services: the owner pays the walker directly.
- We do not sell your data. The only paid places are Featured profiles, always labelled.
How we make money
Owners pay dogwalking.pt nothing to use the site. Walkers pay a fee in credits when they accept a new client, and can choose the Premium plan. That pays for the site, vetting walkers and support.
