When an owner in your area books a walk, the confirmation email suggests local businesses, in rotation: vets, grooming and shops.
In vaccination reminders
The dog diary reminds owners of rabies, deworming and vet visits. The reminder may suggest a vet in the area.
In accounts and reports
In owners' accounts and at the end of walk reports, under "Near you", in rotation.
Recommended by walkers
Walkers choose up to 3 businesses they trust. It shows on their profile. Free for everyone.

How does the launch offer work?

Businesses that join by 30 November 2026:

pay €9 a month (or €90 a year) for the full profile for 2 years from the day they join;
get the founding partner mark on their profile, for good, and are listed on the founding partners page.

Joining means registering your business in the directory, which is free. You can turn on the full profile straight away or later, and the launch price holds until the end of the 2 years. After 30 November 2026, the full profile costs €29 a month.

The site is still new. Is it worth it?

That is why you pay a month or a year at a time, with no commitment. Your numbers are always in your account: you see how often you were shown and how many owners called or asked for directions, and decide with data.

How do I know it is working?

In your account and in the email at the start of each month: times shown, page visits, taps to call, website visits, directions requests and offers viewed.

Is the basic listing really free?

Yes, with no end date. It appears in the directory with the name, category, area and address, with a button to call and another for directions. A page of its own, with photos and opening hours, is part of the full profile.

What does the full profile add?

With the full profile:

In the directory, you are shown before basic listings, labelled "Featured".
On the dog walker page for your municipality, in booking emails, vaccination reminders and local owners' accounts, you are suggested in rotation with the other full profiles.
Your page gets photos, a description, services and prices, opening hours, contacts and an offer.

It costs €9 a month or €90 a year, VAT included.

Why is there a limit on places?

So that being featured means something: at most 3 full profiles per category in each municipality. In Lisbon, Porto and the larger municipalities, they count per parish. If they are taken, you join the waiting list and we tell you when a place opens.

Is there a lock-in or automatic renewal?

No. You pay for a month or a year at a time. A week before the end we send a reminder; if you do not renew, the business goes back to the free listing in the directory and nothing is deleted.

Do you take a commission on customers who come from the site?

No. Customers contact you directly and pay you. dogwalking.pt is not involved and takes nothing for it.

Do you issue an invoice?

Yes, for the full profile, with the tax number you give us.
